Description
Paddock Wood was established in 2002, and is one of Saskatchewan’s first, major microbreweries. We pride ourselves on our unique flavours and refreshing taste.
Our brews can be found bottled, canned and on-tap in liquor stores and restaurants across the province. Watch for tastings at your local liquor stores in Saskatoon and Regina.
We call Saskatoon home, so if you’re in the area stop by the brewery for a chat and a case of beer!

33cl Bottle, thanks Harmen! Black colour, beige head. Aroma of sweet bourbon, wood, molasses, liquorice, roast, booze. Flavour is quite sweet, rye bread, bourbon, wood, liquorice, some roast, molasses, booze, bittersweet finish. Medium bodied. Nice.

A deep dark imperial stout with a very thin light brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with light spicy notes, light cinnamon, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light chili, coffee grind, light vanilla, alcohol warmth, pleasant. Bottle.

A reddish copper DIPA with a thin lacing light mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light vinous notes, treacle, light butterscotch, resinous hops, alcohol warmth, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light roasted notes, treacle, light resinous hop, light citrus, nice and smooth. Bottle from around September 2011.

A reddish copper lager with a thin off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, honey oxidation. In mouth, sweet fruity malt with light grassy hops, light mineral, a bit of chalky character, old.

A hazed golden kolsch with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet oxidized malt with light fruity esters, grainy, so-so. In mouth, sweet grainy malt with light treacle, light butterscotch, no melon left.

A dark reddish copper brown ale with a thick frothy lacing mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light oxidation, OK. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with loads of treacle, light butterscotch, oily mouth feel, nice and smooth.

Nice beer with a better aroma than taste, which comes through as advertised: dark dried fruits. Good beer, but just average for an imperial stout.

A little over enthusiastic on the barrel like rolling over Niagara Falls. Black pour with decent head and lacing. Roast and whiskey with a little dark chocolate. Caramel. Bottle.
