Bottle. Dark brown, lush creamy foam. Aroma: esters, green apple, whisky, caramel, prunes, a little chocolate, interesting. Taste: oak, whisky, green apple, burnt barley, caramel, quite good.

Bottle 33 cl. Dark brown, close to black, thin coffee foam. Aroma: caramel, green apple, nail polish remover, white wine, a drop of Calvados. Taste: sweetish, slightly burnt, green apple and white wine, a little coffee, a little bitterness, unusual quad.

Very dark brown with thin head. Lots of positives with the base elements of roasted coffee and dark chocolate. The problem is the extremely watery body that fails to carry the flavour through.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small dense creamy beige head, unstable, falls down quickly, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of alcohol, whisky, soft roast, bit oxidized, infected impression, dusty. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: rather sourish, infected, very roasted, bitter and dark roast. Aftertaste: more acidic, oxidized, caramel, some blackberries, sourish, some red wine tannins, dry, little sweet, balanced, weird and infected.

Besteld op 17-12-2020 bij Poseidon Beers en ontvangen op 18-12-2020. Thuis geproefd op 27-03-2021.
Inglorious Quad Whisky Infused wordt gebrouwen in brouwerij Anders te Halen, voor de Inglorious Brewstars uit Deurne. Een onderneming van de tweelingbroers Erwin en Benny Van Aerschot die de brouwerij in 2014 oprichtten. Dit bier is eigenlijk de Inglorious Quad waar de Belgische Owl whisky is aan toegevoegd, niet vatgerijpt, maar gewoon toegevoegd.
INGLORIOUS QUAD WHISKY INFUSED is een helder en zwart bier dat bij het uitschenken veel bruinig schuim produceert in een dik wollige vorm. Het blijft sterk aan je glas kleven maar zakt naderhand in elkaar tot een fijn laagje van 1 mm dikte. Pareling is moeilijk te zien wegens de kleur van het bier.
HET AROMA:
Zoet met zoethout en stroperigheid, fruitig, geroosterde tinten, mout, anijs en een alcohol/whisky toets.
DE SMAAK:
Is stroperig zoet, wat chocolade, geroosterde tinten, een koffietoets, mout en de whisky toets.
HET MONDGEVOEL:
Volle body met een zeer licht bitterdroogje, een heel lichte romige textuur en een medium prikkelend koolzuurgas.
DE NASMAAK:
Is wat plakkerig zoet met heel in de verte nog wat zoethout en stroperigheid, chocolade, koffie en mouttoetsen, een lichte houtige tint, de whisky toets en een zeer licht droog gevoel.
HET TOTAALGEVOEL:
Een verwarmend bier.
HET VERDICT:
Een zeer lekkere quadrupel, zoet, alcoholisch en natuurlijk gedomineerd door de whisky. Zo heb ik het graag. De geroosterde-, chocolade- en koffietinten zijn aanwezig maar niet te nadrukkelijk. Niet te koel drinken dan kunnen alle aroma- en smaaktoetsen zich makkelijker manifesteren.

Towards the end of session, I dislike tasting a beer that I have expanded anticipation for. I liked the standard Inglorious Quad considerable. With barrel aging I expect more. We shall see. And now. Curiously the Straffe Hendrik snifter was the glass of choice tonight and now it gets to receive IQ Whisky Infused. Good start, the pour is a dark pecan in color and has a surprisingly large and persistent medium tan head. I lift for a smell, yes, it is good. Candi sugar, malt, dark plums, currants and brown sugar. The taste is equivalent with the addition of a bourbon booziness. A stout drink in multiple ways, it has been a fine evening.

Bottle from BIAB, cheers Fin as you got it there as well. Pretty black, big tan head, nose has chocolate malt and sweetness, not much heavy roast. Flavor is a bit tutti frutti on the first sip, moderately sweet up front / mid fading to a light roasted barley finish. Not as bitterly hoppy as I expected from the name, less than the average imperial stout. I like the chewy character of the roast aftertaste. Expected more body for nearly 9%, but it's pretty good nonetheless. Dangerously, I could down 2 of these as easy as a couple of 12oz Guinness.

Pours rather unclear blonde, small white head. Smell is mild, some hops, restrained malts. Taste is full, bit bitter, malty, mild grassy hops. Restrained fruity aspects. not bad.
