Description
Yvan DE BAETS and Bernard LEBOUCQ meet each other in 2002, during the second edition of the Zinnekparade. Bernard had created the now famous ZINNEBIR for this unique Brussels event. However, it took another five years for BRASSERIE DE LA SENNE to settle effectively in the capital. In the meantime, the brewing activities were continued at friendly breweries. This bohemian existence came to an end on December 22, 2010, the date of the very first 100% Brussels brew!

Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: glossy yellow/orange blurriness with a finger's worth of white foamy head which dissipated nicely to leave some light lace
Aroma: light sweet wheat, lemony, light melons, floral, subtle Belgian candy tones and Brett/sour character is far down in there
Flavor: takes the prior noted aromas to wrap up in a semi-sweet to dusty tart with subtle sour tones coming in for balance; finishes lemony, sweet wheaty and Belgian candy-sweet-ish
Texture: light to medium bodied, leaning to be sessionable; light smoothness but a touch of some sour/tart character trying to be invasive to the tongue
Overall: nice enough Belgian ale I could have again.

330ml bottle @ Admiral Benbow, Shrewsbury with the beer share gang and Ewan. Pours a deep reddish amber, off-white head. Excellent flanders red with deep berry fruits as its heart, nice sour tangy side, nicely presented.

Bottle. Very pale orange with a fluffy white head. Lemon blossom, orange and cracker aroma. Soft wheaty texture before a little sourness and bitterness sweep through along with more citrus and some white pepper. Quite interesting but not too fancy.

Boisterous and funky, with a tonic-like bitterness underneath citrus and a subtle sweetness and a formidable barnyard earthiness in the background. Solid pint.

Just a very light haze on this deepish amber beer, good bubbly pale tan head. Airy smooth palate, decent fine minerally carbonation comes through on the back end. Light smooth malts, a pleasant cream and caramel sweetness. Soft estery fruits, ripe fruits and a mild spice. A cooling pine rides over the top. A kinda baked cinnamon pie thing going on, not really apple but more of a general orchard fruits pie. Airy finish emphasises the esters. A layered and pretty tasty affair, if the esters could be dialled down a bit, for me, it would be a superior brew
