Cute, stubby bottle from a sixer at Whole Foods Bowery. Clear, pale, straw-colored pour. Loud, fizzy, anxious, soda pop head & body. Smells of generic apples, sulfites & bubble gum. Dry, chalky, faintly fruity like the clear, pineapple gummy bear flavor. Spent chewing gum.Incredibly harsh carbonation. Really lacking in depth. Cheap, thirst quenching 6er was the aim, but this is a bit too bland. It doesn’t measure up with the acid of tannic nature of other ciders in this tier, Though those do not creep down into the $10/6er territory often, if ever. A bad trade-off imo.

Tall boy from Whole Foods Bowery. Mason jar pour. Clear, pale, bubbly, ginger ale-colored brew. Smells like Canada Dry. Sweet, syrupy soda with just a little bit more fresh ginger then the 2 liter variant. Sizzling, not quite thin. Basically, ginger ale. Sugar, light bit of fresh ginger, faintly tannic finish. Apples are lost for me. That’s it.

Keg at Citizen Cider, Burlington. Hazy, almost colourless. Unusual aroma where green apples meet methane. Dryish with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Funky with mildly tart apples and sadly a prevailing methane character. Interesting, but that methane is tough...
