Bottled@CPH BeerFest 2010. Golden colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, mild fudge, some herbs and mild wooden notes. Flavour consists of the same in a quite watery and thin way.

Bottle@CPH BeerFest 2010. Thanks to thewolf for letting me have a splash of this. Golden colour, no head. Aroma is sugar, mild stomach acids, some wood and syrup. Flavour is sweet burnt sugar, syrup, wood and some acidic tartness. Unbalanced.

Bottled@CPH BeerFest 2010. Hazy amber colour, small slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel, fruit, some wood, spices and mild yeast. Flavour is rather bodied and has quite much the same elements as the aroma in a nice balance.

Originally rated September 2004. This maple beer poured a hazy yellow-beige colour with a nice thick head. Aromas flowed with maple syrup, and hints of bubblegum and cotton candy. The flavour was very smooth with maple with a slight bitter finish. The mouthfeel was of heavy carbonation but well balanced taste. Tabarnacle que c’é bon !!

Originally rated May 2005. Poured a big wicked white head with medium retention. The carbontaion is also very lively. In colour, it is a hazy light beige. Lots of sediments of several different size floats around. The nose is tarty and yeasty with hints of spices. The mouthfeel is smooth with no flavours really kicking out. Just typical witbier taste...lemon, coriander, yeast. Quite refreshing. May not be as good as some other witbier like Unibroue’s Blanche de Chambly, but still a very good effort.

Originally rated May 2005. The deposit of yeast (and maybe more) in the bottom of the bottle is the thickest I’ve ever seen. After pouring, the chunks are big all over. The colour is beige-orange and is quite hazy. The head is very creamy with good retention. The layer left on top of the brew is quite thick too. Aroma wise, I get prunes, earth and sweetness. Tarty mouthfeel. Slight sour mouth entry with a mild bitter middle and finish with the yeast in the back log. Dark fruits are found somewhere in there. Weird brew. First fews sips are always hard to get used to, but then, it gets better as you go. Hard to decipher most of the taste and aromas in here. Decently brewed, but not my kind of belgian beer. Recommended to try once at least, but I had mine. Hard to finish 6-pack.

Bottle: Poured a light reddish color ale with a generous head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma consists of light funky notes with some tart undertones. Taste is not the most complex but tart notes are well balanced with notes of light funk originating from the yeast. Body is about average with good carbonation. There is nothing here to write home about but interesting beer nonetheless.

Bouteille 341ml. De couleur ambrée-rousse et voilée. Nez fruité aigre (cerises sûres, raisins noirs, notes de pommes vertes) avec des notes de vinaigre balsamique. Mince-moyenne en bouche avec un pétillement moyen-bas (faibles notes croustillantes) ainsi qu’une texture aux notes huileuses et cidreuses. Goût fruité légèrement aigre (framboises vertes, notes de raisins noirs, traces de cerises sûres et de pommes vertes) dès l’entrée en bouche auquel se rajoute un léger goût de sirop fruité sucré ainsi que quelques notes herbeuses en toute fin. Post-goût moyen, légèrement aigre de fruits (moût de petits fruits sûrs).

Originally rated August 2005. Pours a cloudy beige-amber colour with a decent head and retention. Tiny particules flow everywhere through the brew. I smell chocolat and oranges with hints of caramel. The taste is light with a slight edge of bitterness. Hop stays on the tongue for the aftertaste. The aroma seems to be the saviour for this one.
