We specialize in producing distinctive all-malt lager and other German and Czech style beers. We use only the finest, most appropriate malts, hops, water and yeast in our beers. While our lagers are similar to those made in Germany and the Czech Republic, they are our own unique interpretation of the style.
Lager beers are fermented at lower temperatures than ale, using yeast that has adapted to cooler fermentations. Low temperature fermentations create fewer “yeasty” aromas, esters, and flavors that are so common in ales. We brew lagers because we enjoy their smooth malty and hoppy character.

16oz can from Tavour. Dark brown pour, rough pour yields a two finger fluffy beige head, which settles out to a filmy tan covering, ring around the glass, lacing. Beautiful so far Aroma is chocolate, licorice, roasty malts, woody, sweet. Taste is woody, roasty, chocolate, licorice subsides a bit, sweet but not overly so. Creamy feel, nice heft. So damn good...

Poured from a 16 oz can dated October 04, 2023. Aroma is malt forward with nice notes of toasted bread, graham crackers and lighter notes of caramel and toffee. Hints of herbal, grassy hop notes and light alcohol notes. Pours a lovely auburn color with amber and ruby hues on the edges with a medium sized, thick, creamy, tan head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Moderate lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with nice malt notes of toasted bread and caramel with lighter graham cracker and toffee notes. Hints of chocolate as it warms. Medium low bitterness and light alcohol notes. Medium light herbal, woody hop notes that linger in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a solid dunkel. Really nice malt profile supported by a bit of a hop note. Alcohol is well hidden and bitterness is balanced.

From Good Times Oakland, canned November 13th 2023.
It pours black but not pitch black, small off white head of foam that disappears quickly, no lacing.
The smell is roasted malt, dark chocolate, hint of coffee, chocolate of the sweeter kind.
The taste is roasted malt, has some nutty notes, toffee, dark chocolate, pretty well balanced between bitter and sweet.
Mouthfeel is okay; not much carbonation here but not flat.
Super delicious Baltic Porter.
