Bottle from the beer shop St Albans. It pours clear pale copper with quickly dissipating fizz white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, fragrant, crunchy apple, cherry, red grape, vinous and sherbet. The taste is dryish initially, bitter - sweet, earthy, leafy, leather, crunchy ripe apple, some red fruits, some cherry drops, red grape, tannin, dry oak and warming booze with a drying, leathery finish. Medium body and essentially still. Quite an interesting fruity and savoury offering.

Fruity, tart taste with notes of green apples, hay and citrus. A slightly tannic finish with a generous acidity. Medium body, dry. Tart, dry and refreshing. Quite nice.

On tap at Toms Tap, Crewe. Pours pale straw with virtually no head (just a few bubbles) and low carbonation. The aroma is mainly alcohol with traces of apple peel and yeast. In the mouth there is a brief slight sweetness before it becomes increasingly sharp leading to a pretty dry finish. Flavour has sharp crab apples, tannins and hints of lemon. This is decent – very enjoyable as long as you take it slowly !

Bottle form the Beer Shop, At Albans. It pours lightly hazy orange with a fizzy dissipating white head. The aroma is rich, medicinal, peat reek, Islay whisky vibes, tart puckering apple, zingy, crunchy apple, pear skin, damp hay and deep funky farmyard character. The taste is crisp and snappy initially, firmly dry, some tannin, dry oak, crunchy apple, white wine, gooseberry, Bircher muesli, farmyard, barnyard, medicinal, peat and dull bonfire character with drying finish. Medium body and a fine prickly of carbonation. Great depth of flavour. Really enjoyable..
