Bottle shared at home with the crew.

Bottle at home. Pours deeper golden with a foamy, thick head. Nose is loads of citruses, zesty, zappy, funky, a bit leathery. Inviting and intense. Taste is similar, perhaps less intensely. It’s zesty, funky, dry amd leathery, with a moderate bitterness. The finish is dry, citric, somewhat bitter, the body is light with an intense carbonation.

375ml bottle. Pours a very deep dark reddy brown, huge beige head. Aroma of cherries, mild chocolate and roast, light funk and woody notes. Taste is the same, the Kriek portion of this dominates at first, cherries, mild funk, oak. From the Guinness portion there is chocolate and mild roast, but it's a little muted compared to the Kriek. Light bodied.
This was actually a lot better than I was expecting after reading some reviews here, possibly because the blend skewed towards the Kriek, I think it worked surprisingly well.

Bottle shared at Brewver Belgian Winter Gathering. Darker red mahogany red color, no head. Aroma and flavor are fruity sourish, red fruit, very nicely balanced. Lingering fruity sourness. Very pleasant, but I don't get barrel aging in there tbh. 9-8-8,5-8-8,5

75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geeks Winter Gathering. Pours a misty pink, pinkish white head. Lovely scharbeekse cherry expressions with a complimentary bourbon touch. Not much lambic depth, just a light tang, gently sour, but nicely fruity. Good stuff.

1/III/25 - 75cl bottle @ Belgian Beer Geek Gathering (2025 Winter/Spring edition), BB: IX/2026 (2025-174) Thanks to 77ships for sharing the bottle!
Clear deep dark ruby coloured beer, small irregular light pink head, a little stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, funky, lots of brett, sourish impression, some cherries. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very acidic start, fruity notes, a bitter touch, lots of cherries, quite some almonds, a bit oxidized, more sour cherries. Aftertaste: dry, brett notes, spicy, nice cherries, a bit oxidized, almonds, nice stuff!

Bouteille 75cl @ Belgian Winter gathering 01 March 2025 – Tim’s place, thanks Eugene. BB 09/2036.
