Barnyard, wet hay, old white grapes, sherry, damp cellar, rhubarb, cucumber, gooseberry. Sour rhubarb, gooseberry, green apple and vague cucumber mixing with funky hay, cellar and lemon acid against a bready malt backbone. Rather astringent, mouth-puckering finish of woody tannins with lingering lemon & lactic acid and some green apple. Moussy texture, average to fizzy carbonation. Quite 'untamed' but enjoyable at that.

sour beer/lambic aroma and strawberries. they don't blend very well together. bit like salad dressing with a sour milk note.

Bottle @ Bourgogne des Flandres, Bruges. Pours a generally clear gold, small white ring atop. Light peachy fruit shades on the nose. Flavour profile presents slightly over-sweet, over-ripe peach with some gentle floral hints and very mild cardamom spice on the finish. Too sweet for my liking.

Aus der Flasche (brewed 2010/bottled 2013/bbe 2024) im 2025-07 getrunken. Dieses Lambik zeigt sich mit einer wunderschönen rubin Farbe im Glas. Die Schaumkrone fällt schnell in sich zusammen was aber bei dem Alter kein Wunder ist. Das Kriek hier ist von den Aromen voll durchgereift und zeigt ein besonderes Krisch-Aroma ähnlich wie Amarena Kirschen. Nach hinten zeigt sich auch deutlich die Eichenfasslagerung durch ein Tannin-Einfluss. Recht sauer aber auch sehr schön gereift - ein gutes Kriek.
