Description
Big Drop Brewing Co. is a new craft beer company dedicated to making great beer with an ABV of no more than 0.5%.
Big Drop was launched in October 2016 by the-then City lawyer Rob Fink, along with his school-friend/band-mate, designer and entrepreneur, James Kindred. Along with renowned experimental brewer, Johnny Clayton (formerly of Wild Beer Co), they’ve perfected techniques to make alcohol-free craft beer without the need for artificial removal of alcohol.
The 2018 contract with a leading supermarket chain will require Big Drop, which moved production from a small-batch brewer in Bermondsey to Sussex-based own-label specialist Hepworth, to scale up production from 10,000 litres per month to some 40,000 litres.
Production moved to Black Sheep Brewery after a deal was agreed with Keystone Brewing Group, announced December 2024.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Clear brown body with a thin beige head. Patchy lacing. Aroma of nuts and brown bread. Flavour of rust, nuts and weak tea. Thin body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. An interesting low ABV beer. There’s definitely a nutty vibe to this.

4/1/2021. Sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Pours clear bright pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of lemon curd, dusty cardboard, vague sweet apple juice, Medium sweetness, lightest of bitterness and tartness. Light body, watery, low carbonation. A little more tart developed but really not getting this much at all. Maybe it's missing the hot summer's day.

Can at home in Hackney - sourced from Clapton Craft. Pours clear brown with a small, creamy khaki head. Light sweet with modest autumnal spicing, some brown bread, a mild tobacco ash and earth note. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Further toasted brown bread in the finish, nips of raisins, faint cinnamon. So so.

Can at home in Hackney - pours clear brown with a fading, foamy beige head. Medium sweet flavour with notable berries, mild cocoa, little to no bitterness, raspberry, cola. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish, more soft chocolate impressions and berries. Very basic but somewhat enjoyable.

Bottle: Poured a golden with carbonated fast dissipating white head, bubbles running up glass. Aroma is perfume, tart fruit. Taste is wet, tart fruit, big grain spends more time on the palate. Not much sour!
