Description
Cotleigh Brewery began life in Devon in 1979, in the old stable block of Cotleigh Farmhouse at Washfield near Tiverton. Immediate success meant that in 1980 the brewery moved to the historic brewing town of Wiveliscombe in Somerset. Its original owner Ted Bishop was succeeded in the early 80's by John and Jenny Aries, who built upon the brewery's success. The brewery moved in 1985 to the current location in order to fulfil ever-increasing demand. Currently is Stephen Heptinstall the sole owner of the Brewery.

Bottle from Sainsburys. Golden coloured with medium white head. Aroma gives a bit of apple, maybe a bit of honey but is a bit musty. Taste is a bit bitter and a bit weird. Can get the apple bit and the mustiness in the taste but it is also a bit off. Medium carbonation, and feels quite nice in the mouth, but I just don't really like the taste much I'm afraid. --- Beer merged from original tick of Golden Seahawk on 09 Sep 2019 at 16:06 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 5. Bottle from Beers of Europe. It's called Seahawk Gold. Appearance - golden with very low carbonation. Nose - a bit butterscotch straight away. Doh! Maybe some caramel and orange. Taste - caramel and honey. Could still be butterscotch though. Palate - close to medium bodied and generally cloying. Overall - not great, might be faulty.
