Handpull cask at Alestones, Tardebigge, at 4.4%. Dark gold and clear with a small film of white head and considerable lacing. Light aroma with marmalade and a medicinal character. Sweet taste with an underpinning medicinal bitterness, which is more prominent in the long finish. Light body considering the strength of the flavour but betraying the ABV. A very basic English beer, quite nice but not overly exciting.

Third by keykeg, shared with Finn on the third day of GBBF 2020 Winter. Brewery Bars. A clear amber body under a bubbly, off-white head, lacing rings down the glass. Promising dried fruity aromas, hints of biscuit. Rather sweet taste profile of caramel and dried fruits. Drying end. Quite alright, a bit heavy to drink though. (Birmingham 06.02.2020).
