Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, saison yeast, herbs, basilicum, fruity yeast. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20201205]

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are grass, malt, straw, hops and has a nice bitter finish.

330ml bottle [as 'Hofnar Tripel']. Slightly cloudy, reddish-brown colour with average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white to beige head. Sweet-ish, sugary, malty aroma, hints of treacle, dark honey, floral overtones. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally dry, minimally sugary, caramel malty, hints of treacle, dark honey, caramel, burnt caramel with a bitter touch. Watery texture, slightly overcarbonated. Kind of diluted caramel somehow.

24 October 2019. At Bier Circus, Brussels. Cheers, Anke & Pieter! Cloudy dark brown, blackish, with a lasting, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma has lots of cherries, sweet and sour, Mon Chéri, fondant, marzipan, chocolate powder, raisin. Taste has sour cherries galore with an almond-, marzipan-like, nutty sidenote, chocolatey & biscuity maltiness, vague sweet cherries too, bitter mocha & chocolate powder, faintly chemical effect. Dryish, earthy hoppy finish, a bit toasty, quite tart, lingering sweet & sour cherries, warming Maraschino-like alcohol. Medium body, creamy texture, lively carbonation. Interesting Fruited Porter, somewhat over the top actually, definitely messy too, not blending well. But if you want to try something else for a change...
