750 ml bottle courtesy of PhillyBeer2112, shared with my wife at SPIN! Pizzeria in Overland Park, Kansas ($1 corkage on weekdays!). Pour is hazy-cloudy copper beige with a massive fluffy 4 inch off-white head. Really nice looking. Aroma is of earth, spice, and yeast. Taste has a nice mineral earthiness; wet dirt, light pepper spice, and great fresh hop bitterness. This worked really nicely with Pizza. The spicy hoppiness works with this beer throughout, from initial taste, long into the dry finish. Along with the hop bitterness, there is a great wet earth lingering aftertaste. Palate is quite carbonated, was refreshing and cleansing. I am a sucker for this type of beer. Thanks for sending my way, Dan!

Where the Wild Beers Are, 2008. Not very sour but a good beer. Medium-sweet aroma with balsamic vinegar. Some spices, oak, malt, and a fruit flavor that I attribute to the wine. Medium palate. One of the best French beers I have had.

A hazy blonde with an extra thick froathy white head. A pleasant aroma of wheat, wild herbs, dandelion, very nice. In mouth, a crisp saison, with wild grasses, a little sweet, creamy mouthfeel, medium bodied. Tasted April 2007.

bottle from Tukcers Maltings. Cloudy pale yellow, enormous white head. Hoppy nose. Medium-bodied, intensively hoppy and bitter in a very pleasant way. Resiny and grassy hops with an almost undetectable but supporting malty background. Delicious.

Holziger Antrunk in dem die Lagerung schmeckbar ist. Säuerlich, sehr trocken. Im Mittelteil ist das Bier ebenfalls trocken, wird aber eher vom Malz beeinflusst. Durchgehend hopfig, zum Ende etwas fruchtig. Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: -,10,10,11,-,11 - 10,64

Bottle 75cl @ the Horse school WSF-08 afterparty in Opstal.[Bottle #250] Clear medium amber brown color with a average, frothy, good lancing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, sour, berry, wood, vinous sourness. Flavor is moderate sweet, moderate to light heavy acidic and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (240508)

750 ml bottle from Bottle Trek as Biere de Noel. Hazy orange gold color with a multifinger beige head. Aromas of slight citrus sour, brown sugar, cooked light fruit and something like pie spice. Flavor is bready, peppery, citrus with a very light touch of sour. Body is medium, carbonation is a bit frothy. Finish is rather dry, and nearly astringent. Not at all the way it started. With time an orange zest is more noticeable.

75 cl bottle from BeerGeek. Hazy amber color with a three finger beige head. Aromas of spice and light citrus. Nearly full bodied with coarsely creamy carbonation. Flavor is "brown" malt, with a hint of coffee, and lots of light, but not stone, fruits. Lots meaning many kinds, not lots of fruit. The mouth tingles. The finish seems reasonably balanced. What I thought was coffee, not seems more like cola. It just won’t settle down. It is a really enjoyable beer.

Appealing herbal and floral aroma with little hints of bubblegum floating about, along with a peaky little pie-spice, like cinnamon or allspice. There’s something in this nose that I can almost place but just can’t - a real brain teaser. Yes yes, its the ganja. Herbal, light and wheaty, very refreshing. Somewhat grassy and hoppy toward the finish, mostly dry. Is it vinous? Maybe. Golden amber color, the bottle gushed lightly upon opening and produced a voluminous protein-laden meringue head. A real beauty example of a low alcohol beer being fully flavorful, complex and downright good. I could take this everyday, its a new favorite.

Bottle: Poured a clear black color ale with a big foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma consists of sour notes with the typical Thiriez yeast. Taste is also dominated by some sour notes with a light roasted malt backbone. This is a really weird mix, i.e. a dry stout mix with Flander red, and I am not sure if this is really working. Average body with OK carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Interesting but not sure I would buy this consistently if it was available around the corner.
