0.33 l bottle from 'Craftbeershop.com', best before February 2024. Hazy, reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, quite fruity-floral, gently yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, candied apricot, honey, pear juice and hints of solvent. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity-floral and rather yeasty-spicy aroma of banana, clove, honey, vanilla, candied apricot, sultanas and some marzipan, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally boozy finish. Full body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice Weizenbock on steroids, quite aromatic, fairly harmonious, overall rather enjoyable.

Bottle from Raynville Stores. It pours clear golden - blonde with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is soft, mellow, sweet, grain husks, doughy white bread, straw, cereal, nuttiness, grass and light spice. The taste is crispy, dry, snappy, fairly sweet, doughy white bread, sponge cake, grass, straw, hint of acidity almost and a nip of spice with a dry finish. Average body and fine carbonation. Simple, but enjoyable.

Techtelmechtel Eisbock, Fläschchen aus Tausch mit Pivnizub - Dank an Dr. H. aus BO. - Rotbraun, trüb. - In der Nase fette, sirupartige Süße, Hustensaft, Orangeat, Kräuterbonbon. - Antrunk sirupartig malzsüß mit Anklängen an Hustensaft, Bitterorange, solide herbale Hopfung mit mediterraner Note. Mild rezent, mastig; schlecht kaschierter Alkohol, likörartig. Im Abgang ebenso wie im Antrunk. - Ein Eisbock halt: klebrig schwer und wuchtig alkoholisch, zwar einigermaßen rund und gar nicht so übel gehopft, aber diese fette Süße ist einfach zuviel für mich. Dann lieber gleich einen Kräuterlikör. (17.2.2023.)
