Olfactif aux accents de pain frais, de cardamome, de gingembre, avec une touche de jujube, de canelle, d’herbes fraîches et de pin. Excellent olfactif , complexe et varié. Le liquide se présente doré presque ambré, avec une toute petite mousse qui traîne néanmoins en longueur. Sèche, épicée et légèrement fruitée en attaque, elle présente surtout des accents boréals de pin et de sapin, accompagnés de notes de poivre, de cardamome, d’herbes arômatiques avec une touche de pain frais. Son effervescence est cependant très modérée et il y manque cette petite rusticité très typée des bières belges. Agréable et goûteuse, mais sans caractère.

Bottle: Poured a clear amber/copper color ale with a nice large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry and somewhat grainy notes of malt with not much else to report. Taste is a mix of grainy malt notes with some light dry caramel notes. Body is light with good carbonation and no real apparent alcohol. Blander then I was expecting with not much reason to drink this again.

Growler: Poured a black color stout with a nice brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of roasted malt with light dry floral coffee notes is quite nice. Taste is a good balanced mix between dry roasted malt with light chocolate and floral coffee notes. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Not a style I particularly care for but this one was nicely brewed.

A dark brown Saison with a thin mocha head. In aroma, herbaceous chocolate malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, fruity esters, light burned caramel, OK. In mouth, a nice bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, herbaceous hops, wood extract, interesting. Mini growler from the brewery.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, sweet fruity chocolate malt with light vanilla notes, grassy hops, herbaceous character, light coffee grind, fruity esters, very nice. Un olfactif d’intensité moyenne aux accents houblonnés de conifère, de gazon et de fruits tropicaux. De couleur dorée, à la mousse épaisse et dense qui s’attarde sur le liquide. Le gazon et les conifères s’activent tout au long du processus gustatif, laissant une longue trace astringente en arrière bouche. De petites notes de poivre se combinent à l’effervescence pour la rendre rafraichissante. L’équilibre malt / houblon est à point. Le houblonnage est discret mais juste. Une excellente APA.
