Growler: Poured a deep amber color ale with a large foamy had with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of caramel malt notes with some dry hoppy notes. Taste is a mix of dry caramel malt with some earthy and somewhat citrusy hops with a dry finish. Body is a pretty full for style with good carbonation. Interesting IPA but too much caramel flavours and not enough hops flavours for my taste.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared by Countbeer. A bit hazy brownish color, small off-white head. Aroma is malts, wood, a bit sourish. Taste malts, slightly tart, a bit spicy. Decent body, a bit fizzy carbonation. Don’t like it.

Bottle @ joes. Hazy copper colour with a small white head. Smells red fruits, chocolate, nice. Tastes slightly sourish, boozy, slightly pepper. Full body, medium carbo.

L’olfactif nous présente une levure expressive aux notes d’herbes fraiches, de fleurs, de clou de girofle, de gomme baloune, avec une touche de poivre et de citron. Dorée à la petite mousse dense et bien tenue. Elle se maintient très longtemps. En bouche, le poivre et les herbes sont dominantes, laissant peu de place aux éléments fruités et épicés. On sent néanmoins de légers accents de gomme et de fruits en sourdine. L’effervescence est assez bien sentie, conférant à cette bière un assez haut potentiel rafraichissant. Bonne saison. Conforme au style.

Taste is also a mix of roasted malt with some light dry yeast notes and herbal hops. Body is about average with good carbonation. Interesting take on the style but prefer my saison with more rustic and dry notes.

Growler: Poured a hay blonde color ale with a large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of light white pepper notes with some grassy floral notes and bready malt. Taste is a nice mix of floral citrusy notes with some white pepper notes with some bready malt and light lemon notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Interesting take on the style and good balance between the different flavours.

Growler: Poured a black color porter with a medium size foamy head with light brown head with medium retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of black chocolate with some coffee notes are quite pleasant. Taste is also dominated by black chocolates with some nice roasted coffee notes with a semi-dry finish. Body is about average with good carbonation. Very enjoyable example of a style I usually don’t seek very often.
