Borefts VI. Keg. Dark reddish brown beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is airy and light, fine carbonation. Mild dark malts, whisper of roast. Touch of red berries. Mild piney hop bitterness on the back end. Light dry finish. Pine and mild roast malt linger on. Drinks well under it’s abv.

Bouteille 33cl, merci Pierre T. , BB 11/03/2015. Dorée presque ambrée devenant trouble sur la fin, col épais crémeux blanc-cassé. Arôme est houblonné frais avec ce relent américain et australien, notes tropicales et de pamplemousse. Palais est houblonné, malt pâle, cara assez léger. Note fruitée, agrumes et tropical, petite note herbacée rappelant le pin avec une fin de bouche qui oscille vers un léger orangé.

Bouteille 33cl, BB 16/03/2015, merci Pierre T. Brune foncée, col fin moka. Arôme est léger, malté grillé ponctué d’effluves de chocolat. Le tout est bien accompagné de belles notes houblonnées qui balancent le tout, je note par ailleurs de belles pointes fruitées d’agrumes. Palais est malté, caramel, grillé, léger chocolat, et un ajout sucre brun, le tout est balancé par une belle amertume venant des houblons, notamment de pamplemousse, et un petit côté herbacé rappelant le thym? Solide.

Thick-set dark-cream head over fully opaque dark brown beer with ruby highlights. Roasted, caramel syrup or treacle, dried prunes/plums, meat gravy with roast caramel sweetness are suggested; Tobacco, or specific cigarash, chocolate, mild roast. Bit mineral, but not as far as salty. Well-bodied impression, in any case quite slick. Surprising! Not really oysterlike flavour, but quite different from usual stouts.

Bottle at the Room 118 tasting, Tulip Hotel Bodegraven, post BBF 6 day 1 26/09/14 thanks to whomever supplied this one could have been Kenny and me? Hazed orange with a moderate off white covering. Nose is tangy orange, peach, apricot, NZ hop skunks, straw. Taste comorises earthy notes, light skunking, apricot, tangerine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with hop bitterness. Ok stuff.

Keg at BBF 6, 26/09/14. Light black with moderate tan spotting and edgework. Nose is light roast, cocoa rub, tangy raspberries, spice, dark malts, toffee. Taste comprises dark malts, spice, chocolate, red berry fruit, raspberries. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok stout.

Haand 2014. Deep golden-orange colour with an off-white head. Aroma is fruit, malt, hop, caramel. flavour is fruit, malt, hop, caramel, grapefruit, peaches. full body. Nice beer.

Very dark brown. Strong aroma of raspberries. Flavour is sweet, sour, floral, aromatic. Hint of roastiness in the finish.
