Pale, straw, bit of haze. No head. Footy yeast nose is not that attractive. Tart, just a touch of salt, also light gentle fruitiness but all of this is underpinned by that footy yeasty character that I don’t like.

Translucent light purple. Not much head. Light berry nose. Light body, touch of berry, but little else. Not enough malts to back this up.

Taster at Elizabeth Station. Pours a dark brown with a weak beige head. Aroma is bourbon, candied fruits. Taste is sweet with candied berries notes, bourbon notes. Good stuff.

2016 vintage and listed at 10% now I believe. A deep ruby brown color with a substantial beige head that has big raison and plum belgian ale aromas with a sweet oaky bourbon compliment. A really clever idea to combine the sweet malty goodness of what I’d call a Belgian Dubbel as a base beer and then add the wonderful bourbon flavor complexity.

On tap at The Commons, pours an opaque cloudy pink with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of berry pithiness and light saison yeast. Flavour is along the same lines, with blackberry pith, some of the juice and saison yeast that dries this out. Low residual sweetness. It's okay.

On tap at The Commons, pours a cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out light saison yeast, with fairy subdued pineapple presence. Flavour is quite fruity, with lots of pineapple, though little sweetness, and plenty of saison yeast character. A bit of a strange mix, but it works reasonably well. Solid.

On tap at The Commons, pours a cloudy orangey brown with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of banana and light spicy rye. Flavour is along the same lines, with plenty of banana, some spicy rye and earthy. Way too banana-y for me, but I guess they were going for this. Not to my taste.

On tap at The Commons, pours a clear dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out a fairly fruity hop character, with dry biscuity malt on the underside. Flavour is bright and punchy, with aggressive citrusy hops, tropical stone fruits and crisp biscuity malt. Citrusy, dry finish. Rather abrasive but it works.

Bottle. Pours clear reddish black, medium creamy tan head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is dusty, molasses, roast, cherries, floral notes. Surprising to me. Flavor is light sweet, light funky, dusty, very light bitter. Cherry chocolate, dust. Medium body, high carbonation. Interesting and unusual.

On tap at Euclid Hall. Pours dark brown, with a medium, creamy, silky tan head. The aroma is caramel, walnuts, light coffee, and plum. Sweet and malty, with a thin bitterness. Medium body, chalky, syrupy, and a bit thin. This is a pretty nice, malt forward beer.
