Cask handpull at County Hotel JDW Ashford. Clear gold colour lasting white head. Aroma of cherry. Flavour is cherry child sweets. An artificial cherry flavour. The base beer is fine. A standard golden ale. Wotj this artificial too sweet cherry flavour layered over the top.

Hand pulled third of a pint in The Moon Under Water, (A Spoons in Hounslow) on 7th March 2025. Clear pale golden body, thin white head. Strange cherry sweetness to the aroma and taste, all a bit weak and weird, didn't work for me.

Cask up the White Lady. Pours clear amber with a thin white head. Strong cherry aromas. Seems almost artificial to me, but claims real cherries were used. Taste adds Buscot and orange. Cherry linger.

Beer Number 8 at the Wetherspoon Spring Beer Festival 2025, leaving 20 of 30 still untried. Clear, nice looking, with its cherry prominent in both aroma and taste. Easy strength but certainly not thin.

Cask at Briar Rose, Birmingham. Pours golden amber with minimal off-white head and excellent lacing. Cherries are prominent (but not overwhelming) in the aroma with malts also there. Pretty much the same in the mouth where it is quite sweet but with some underlying tartness from the cherries. Hints of biscuits, oranges and nuts as well. A little bitterness in the finish. This is rather nice – the cherries compliment and don’t dominate.

0.5 l can @ Mijas. Copper coloured with white head. Slight malty-biscuits aroma, followed by the same notes in taste, but quite faintly. Way too light and watery.

Lovely dark ruby pour, with a small off white head. Aroma is malty, slightly nutty with some nice up front UK hops. Nothing complicated, but very well made and nice to drink. Subtle spice, good hops, sweet, toffee, nutty malts. Nice stuff.

500ml bottle from the LCBO.
Very slight malty aroma, some slight hops, nothing really special, smellls a tad bland. Flavour is a bit wattery, there are some nice hops in there, a touch of caramel malt, i agree with the distinction putting this under the bitter category, i find it a bit too weak on hops to be an IPA, the beer i just rated before this one, the ruddles county ale is an ESB, and its hoppier.
