Hazy brown color, off-white medium creamy head. Aroma is chocolat, malty, slight alcohol sharpness, fruity also, raisin. Taste of roasted malts, chocolat, raisin. Slight alcohol burn, long lingering palate. Expectations were high, but this beer could match up with them! --- Beer merged from original tick of Trois Pistoles on 01 Jul 2019 at 22:24 - Score: 8. Cloudy yellow golden color, medium white frothy head. Spicy aroma. More spicy and belgina triple-like than the Eau Benite. Alcohol hardly noticeable. Very good beer!

Cloudy yellow golden color, medium white frothy head. Spicy and slightly cheesy yeast aroma, hint of banana also. Spicy and yeasty taste. A triple with a hefeweizen undertone, more comparable to the Hoegaarden Grand Cru.

Cloudy orange color, short white head. Sweet yeasty aroma, spicy and fruity, banana. Soft sweet malty taste, spicy sparkling on the tongue. More like a hefeweizen, but more dry palate instead of refreshing. Quite heavy on the stomach.

Stronger and better in every aspect than any other Unibroue product I've tried. Pours dark, murky brown-red, with a thin ring of off-white foam clinging to the glass. Alcohol, candi sugar, and dark fruit in the aroma, which was pleasant but not strong. Rich flavor: dark fruit, vinous notes, apple cider, candi sugar, a touch of banana, and alcohol. Nonetheless, this beer finished somewhat dry, not being cloying in any regard. Perfect carbonation and mouthfeel- one of the smoothest high ABV beers I've ever sampled. Delicious.

Spice, fruit and yeast aroma. Orange cloud low head. Fruity flavors (peaches and oranges) dominate and a little bit alcohol. Medium to light body. Strangly refreshing.

Very dark, with some light purple and murky brownish orange. Very clouded. I got no head out of mine, and I even swirled it alot. Smells of lots of candied sugar, some ripe plums, maybe a touch of maple and alcohol? Begins with a ton of malt and lots of candied sugar flavor. Wow, this is sweet. Evens somewhat, with some banana and bubblegum esters, but the hops punch I’m hoping for never hits. The body is surprisingly only medium, maybe slightly medium full. Loose, somewhat watery texture, very soft. Finish improves however, with some drier alcohol notes and finally some hops and yeast. Still, the finish just dosent seem to make up for the way too sugary beginning and watery body. I want to be harsh on this beer, as I was let down by the cloyingness it provided towards the end of the bottle, but the finish showed potential. The flavor would even with cellaring, but I have to wonder about the watery smooth mouthfeel, would that hold up? I felt carbonation level was perhaps too low, did not find it to be overcarbed even up front. Im going to have to say overrated now, but let’s see how cellaring goes. . .

Light blond color; too much foam. Strong apricot aroma (?). The body is a little thin, dry, yeasty; probably would be better if sweeter. Non interesting final. Finally, the aroma is the only interesting point.
