Cask pint, hand-pulled in the Pheasant, Wellington Shropshire on 5th Sep 2016. Wish I had read the tasting notes on the chalkboard before ordering! This is yet another clear, light golden brew that majors on citrus flavours: grapefruit aroma and flavour with a dry finish. Refreshing, the first pint of the day, but I am just bored with this style now. Scored objectively, and I did actually enjoy it’s thirst quenching qualities, even if my write up does not show that too greatly.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Clear yellow golden color, small white head. Aroma and taste are both quite nice: some malts, some hops, a bit floral and a slight hint of canned peaches. Suitable bitter finish. Decent body. Yeah it’s alright.

Cask at The Murderers, Norwich. It pours clear rich gold with a small white head. The aroma is rich, sweet grapefruit, lemon peel, honey, biscuit and cereal. The taste is rich, bitter, straw, grapefruit, lemon parfait, zesty, floral and biscuit malt base with a dry, slightly spiced finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Pretty flavoursome for the style. A good strong golden ale.
