Cask - Apple and some raw oak. Clear light gold with almost no head. Sweet apple and like oak notes. The sweetness does overpower the other flavours finish., butt is still nice. Quite sweet and long

Okay, shifting to a cider tonight.
This was poured into my wine glass (as always).
The appearance was extremely light and golden clear with a vast array of carbonated bubbles flying skyward towards the top of the glass.
There’s no head and no lacing, but I think I’m starting to understand that’s okay for a cider.
The smell had a decent floral but slight honey character going on. The apple is there and has a decent tartness to it.
The taste was sweet.
On the palate, this was fairly harsh (coming across like wine - uh oh), and it sat fairly light on the body with a fair sessionability about it.
Overall, okay cider, honestly, I’m still trying to figure this out since its not a real beer. For this one, I think I’d have this again.

Cask at Secklow Hundred (JDW), Milton Keynes. Mid-yellow, slightly hazy. A decent white head. This looks like a beer. And smells... off. Sour, buttery and greasy. The taste is infinitely better: a sweetish tang followed by a balanced sourness. The alcohol is warming on the way down. Brown sugar, rum and vanilla partner apple in the aftertaste. Passable.

500ml bottle from Trembling Madness. Pours clear pale gold. Ginger aroma. Strong, raw ginger root in the taste. Very nice ginger cider, clearly not a lot of apples coming through, and minimal alcohol. Nice.

On tap at Cider Tap, pours a hazy dark orate with a small white head. Aroma brings out loads of floral notes. Flavour is medium sweet, with shitloads of elderflower and medium residual sweetness. High drinkability with a very dominating flowery character.
