Description
First brewed in Spring 2010 as the Wheatsheaf Inn based at Wheatsheaf Inn, High Street, Llantrisant, Pontyclun. It was originally owned by Celt Experience. In 2011 it brewed for a short time using the name Korev, before settling on the current name in Spring 2012 when it separated from Celt Experience. It moved to its current address in Spring 2013 where an 11BBL plant was used. Experimental beers are produced under the Hopcraft banner. Brewing ceased in early 2019.

Cask-conditioned at the Three Tuns, Bristol 26/3/2015. Deep copper in colour with a decent, off-white, head. Citrus fruits, red berries, some chewy malts, whiff of pine and dryish finish. Very good.

Cask at the York Tap. It pours deep ruby brown with a thick beige head. The nose is roasty, pine, dank hop, cocoa, coffee, charred wood, dark fruits and berry. The taste is rather bitter, punchy, rich roast, coffee, charred wood, light ash, mild acidity, pine action, dank hop and cocoa with a lingering dry, bitter finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Great condition. Punchy and tasty.

Cask@London Drinker 2015 (Friday), Camden Centre, London - slightly fuzzy golden pour with healthy white head. Aroma and taste is prominent citrus and topical fruits, lovely satsuma, lemon, grapefruit and pine needles, some grassy and floral undertones, high drinkability. Gorgeous brew.

Gravity dispense at London Drinker BF ’15, day 2, 12/03/15. Lightly hazed golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is light pine, tangerine, earthy hops, straw, light passionfruit, spice. Taste comprises dank hop tones, pine needle, melon, tangerine, orange pith, grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonations, semi drying close with dank hop tones. Solid.

Gravity dispense at London Drinker BF ’15, day 2, 12/03/15. Clear golden amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is bitter hops, earthy notes, pine, citric peel, straw, bitter orange. Taste comprises earthy hops, straw, light smoke tones, bitter citric rinds, dank notes, ripe melon. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a bitter finale. Decent.

Keg at the MTB event at the Fox, Haggerston, 29/01/15. Lightly hazed pale golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is melon, tangerine, straw, mandarin, toasted malt, orange pith. Taste comprises lightly skunked hops, melon, grapefruit, pine needles, straw, light bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close peppered with earthy hop bitterness. Solid work.

Keg at the Fox, Haggerston, MTB event 29/01/15. Clear golden with a decent off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, pissy, pine needle, straw, earthy hops, grapefruit. Taste comprises lemon rind, tangerine, grapefruit, straw, orange pith, soft bread dough. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a grassy bitter linger. Solid.

Keg at the MTB tap takeover at the Fox, Haggerston, 29/01/15. Murky orange amber with moderate off white edgeing. Nose is melon, apple pie, caramel, light spice, bread dough. Taste comprises tangerine, melon, toasted bread, pale malt. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness, slightly astringent. Ok GB but not up to par with all the others on offer this evening.
