Bottle from the very friendly CAMRA stand at the Birmingham NEC Good Food Show. Clear yellowy gold with a light fizz and a white head. Zingy citrus (lemon and pink grapefruit) overlays a sweetish biscuit base. Little complexity but pretty enjoyable. Decent session brew.

Handpull cask at Derby Tup, Whittington Moor, Chesterfield for £2.50 a bloody pint. Deep red, clear with a gorgeous beige head heaving lots of lacing. Malty aroma, soft and resinous with perhaps a hint of blackberry. Sweet taste followed by a fuller bitterness spreading to the back of the throat in the long finish. Full body with soft carbonation. Incredible for the style.
