Bottle at home with Lyoli. Pours crystal clear yellow with a rich, foamy white head. Basic malt aroma, light spicy hops. Flavor has some faintly grassy bitterness, white sugar, mild doughy malts. Medium to full in body with fairly lively carbonation. Medium warming finish, bit more doughy malt sugars, slight grass. Very decent.

Bottle. It pours a clear, golden body under a huge, diminishing off-white head. Lightly milky nose with some fruityness and a touch of yeast. Yeast, milkyness notes, fruityness and some licorice-ish, or fennel maybe, hints. Caramel. Medium body. Fruity finish. Overall, a decent beer, I don’t care too much for the aroma, but the taste is nice, although a bit low on bitterness. Not low on bitterness according to style. 110917

Originally rated June 2006. Got this one under the name Brassin d’Hiver, at 8% ABV with a best before date written on back label as 02.06.07. Again, just like their 3 Monts, a hard time taking the metal tab around the cork, off. After a slow pour, a humongous, cream, off-white head is created. Long lasting, leaving very nice spider webing lace. Copper-orange colour with lots, and I say lots of carbonation. The nose is warming with alcohol and Belgian yeast. Also found, are spices, mild caramel and apples. The mouthfeel is watery with slight tart in the finish. There is a bit of sourness in the taste. The apples and caramel are also present. Dry finish with metallic notes. Quite smooth with no burn. Pleasant winter warmer.

bottle from kihoskh. 2011 red stamp. Corked and cork held in place by a large metal clip. Very unusual, looks very rudimentary. When openng the bottle some beer gushed out, leaving approx 60cl of the 75cl originally in the bottle. The gushing died out quickly. Clear golden, smooth small offwhite head. Flowery and fruity aroma, citrussy hint - aroma reminds me of a belgian blonde. Flavor is yellow fruity, yeasty, faint citrussy or sour tinge, otherwhise dry, but sweet yellow fruity. reminds me of a messy belgian blonde, but in fact an okay belgian style beer. Better than the many boring biere de garde i’ve had from france. Alc. well used, flavor well adjusted to the strength.
