In the period after 1850, the De Meester-Boelens brewery was founded at the current address in the Kerkstraat. in 1897 the name changed to Boelens-De Meester. Brewing stopped during World WarI, after the war the family continued the business as a bottling and beer enterprise. In 1978 Kris Boelens took over the beer business from his father. He reintroduced beer brewing in Belsele in 1993. In 2016 his son Yannick Boelens joined the brewery.

Bottled. Yellowish golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is fruits, some glue, alcohol and mild wooden notes. Flavour is fruity, wooden, some floral notes as well as some caramel. A bit too alcoholic for it’s own best, but otherwise quite ok.

Dorada muy gaseosa de exagerada espuma. Aroma lacteo y agrio. En boca confirma el exceso de gas. Sabor de base malteada, y tono ácido. Dificll. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear blonde, orange glow. Ok white head. Smell is fresh malty , some hay-like aspects as well. Taste is bit bitter. Some sweetness trough yeastyness. Kinda reminds me of something , but i can’t quite put my finger on it. Corny, almost like cereal. Ok.

The triple you’ve had way too many times before. Clear golden with a huge white head,to the point of almost being a gusher. Smells like coriander and tastes pretty much like it too. Overly sweet, overly yeasty, overly herbal and too much carbo. Probably doesn’t do too much wrong if you’re into those kind of triples. Probably isn’t even a bad triple tbh. The herbs are just too much for me.
