(bottle, 33cl, as Bruin 12) Cloudy, ruby amber colour with a medium-sized tanned foamy head. Sweet and yeasty toast-malty aroma with caramel, popcorn, a tinge of molasses and distinctive berry-fruity notes. Sweet and sour flavour, almost full bodied with a calm carbonation. Toasty malty and berry fruity taste, which is definitely more simple than the aroma; sour-fruity and slightly toasty finish. I expected something more affiliated to the style. 14.III.10

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, dark amber colour with a big and beige frothy head. Sweet and moderately sour, also slightly dusty toast-malty aroma with notes of citrus, red berries and shy notes of caramel. Moderately sweet and sour flavour, medium bodied with a surprisingly soft carbonation. Cara-malty, slightly sour-doughy and fruity taste with a slightly sweet and sourish fruity finish. Cannot say if the acidic character is intended. 14.III.10

Hot from tap @ 15e Kerstbierfestival 2009, Essen, Belgium.Clear light to medium amber color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, spicy, berry fruity notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20091212]

11.2oz grenade bottle. Gushing out after opening, pours a thick ruby-red-brown with a fluffy beige head. The aroma is quite odd and unique, almost and alcohol laced brown sugar licorice. Sweet and malty, with a background sourness that immediately brings to mind Oerbier Reserva. That fruity sour kick really balances out the beer in a similar fashion, making it very enjoyable and drinkable. Some faint warmth in the aftertaste underneath the sweetness. Mild carbonation. This is an awesome beer, one I hope to have again in the future.

29th September 2008. Cloudy brown beer. Sweet start - brief sour malt and then a wheaty spicyness and a dry finish. Nicely joined up.

Bottled 330ml. -Hazy yellow coloured, big white head, pleasant spicy nose. Moderate malty, very spicy and slight yeasty with lots of sediment floating around the glass. Touch of alcohol in the citrusy finish. Pleasant but a bit unbalanced BSA.

Clear red with a tiny white head. Sourish cherries in the nose along with rubber. Flavour was soruish with cherries and almonds. Finished dry and sourish.
