Bottle. A lightly hazy golden beer with a small, creamy, white head leaving some lacings. The aroma is fruity and piney, with some notes of pale malts, a spiced touch and grass. The flavor is rather fruity, with some pale malts, a spiced touch and some pine cones. Grass and a faint touch of hay. Medium body, semi-dry and pleasant carbonation. Lasting grassy, piney finish. Quite nice this one, far from world class though. 150207

Donker gee; bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is droog, bitter hoppig en krachtig, geen standaard kerstbier. Verder wel erg goed, valt alleen wat uit de toen bij andere kesrtbieren.

Bottle from Dranken Geers, Oostakker, Nr Gent, Belgium. consumed at home Thursday 22nd January 2015 Hazy brown colour with a hazy light beige head. Deep, deep aroma lots of boozy chocolate. A big beer, tangy with some bitter coffee, some chocolate and a little tart boozy end. Its good, in fact its very, but just occasionally you crave a little more subtlety and smoothness. (Bottle, Brugs Beertje, Brugge, 23 Oct 2014) Dark brown colour, almost black, with dense beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with dark fruit, chocolate and coffee. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark fruit, dark bread, raisins, prunes, fresh flavours of coffee and a generous coffee bitterness. Full body, with balanced sweetness. Solid and well made with all the expected quadrupel characteristics combined with lots of fresh coffee. And all in excellent balance. Lovely beer!

(Bottle, Café Rose Red, Brugge, 23 Oct 2014) Dark brown colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly fruity nose with notes of caramel, raisins, prunes, toffee and a touch of chocolate. Malty, slightly roasted taste with caramel, raisins, dark bread, chocolate and a generous spicy bitterness in a finish with a certain alcohol bite. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Quite complex, still in excellent balance. Tasty and solid quadrupel. Very nice.

37.5cl Bottle, 2014 ed. Dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma of sweet malts, alcohol, dark fruits, raisins, some coffee but not much. Flavour is sweet, malty, fruity, dark fruits, warming alcohol, chocolate, some coffee, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nice, expected more coffee, but less is more when it comes to coffee beers.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear deep amber with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has a good amount of deep fruit with a touch of citrus, toffee and sweet grains. Flavor has dark fruits and toffee with raisins and dates through the finish.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Biernavigatie.nl Dark brown with a beige head. Big malty aroma with espresso and chocolate. Taste is fairly bitter, finish is pure espresso. the finish’s getting softer when the beer is longer in the glass, leaving a very good Quadrupel

troebel bruin met fijne bruine kleine kraag. Aroma van behoorlijke mouten en granen, tevens alcoholisch. Smaken zijn kruidig maar, moutig, graan, alcohol, en niet veel meer wat ik nu al niet meer eens kan lezen.... wat ik er nog wel uit kan halen is het feit dat ik het bier verder snel weg ga spoelen, proefde wrs. niet heel veel meer na een stapperij ;) --- Beer merged from original tick of Pr??aris Quadrocinno on 15 May 2018 at 15:18 - Score: 6
