Description
Dany De Smet, a brewery engineer, and his wife Dany De Smet, a brewery engineer, started brewing beer "in the kitchen" in very small quantities (about 50 liters per brew). In 1999 the couple decided to start a beerfirm so in 2000 Slaapmutske was founded. In order to meet the ever-increasing demand, we decide to work together with the Proefbrouwerij in Lochristi to brew the beer there under license.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, The New Oxford, Manchester. Hazy yellow, medium white head. Lemon aroma, good malt base and a faint sourness in the nose. The flavor was quite sour and unbalanced. Pretty sure it was infected.

Bottled (Bs, BB 09/2010). Dark ruby color, small steady beige head, some lace. Caramel, plums and some chocolate in the nose. Carbonated, a bit hard mouthfeel. Flavor is plummy sweet with some alcohol. Aftertaste has warming alcohol and lingering dark fruit-sweetness. Decent night cap.

RBESG Sheffield 2009, day 3, The New Oxford, Manchester. Tap. Must have been infected, although the barman insisted it was in good shape. Hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of sourness, dusty malts, hint of lemony hops. Flavour is yeasty, light sweet, sour, malty, dry bitter finish. Will definitely re-rate.
