Bottle @ Hotel NH Eixample, Barcelona. Gusher that Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, coffee, caramel, yeast, some faint citrusly hops. Flavor is light sweet, light sour, malt, caramel, coffee, dark chocolate, little citrus, little tart oak. Thin to medium body, lively carbonation, light tart finish. Not bad, but Im pretty sure its not as intented. 2803416

Small brown head. Opaque black body. Earthy floral cocoa aroma with fruity alcohol prune notes. Sweetish earthy floral cocoa taste with powdery herbal notes. Fullish body. Mild, slightly hot, powdery mouthfeel. Sweetish powdery fruity cocoa aftertaste with floral dusty notes. It’s nice, but too dense and closed. (0.33l bottle, from RiT, Barcelona.)

Botella 33 cl del kraken tomada en Belmonte 19..03..2016. (r19). Sin lote ni fecha legibles. Color negro con bastante espuma beige oscuro. Aromas y sabores tostados con ligero amargo final. Cuerpo ligero a medio fácil de beber algo tosco y áspero. Normal.

0,33l bottle at home from my Secret Santa Lowenbrau, big thanks. BB 11/02/2017. 7.2% ABV. almost black color, basically no head. smells weird sourish, grapes, black currant sirup, earthy notes, light grass, not bad but rather weird. full body, rather light carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of spices, light roast, coffee, bitter chocolate, licorice, some grass, light wood, acidic, very light sourness, some black currant notes. finishes lightly roasted with notes of black currant and licorice. a bit weird one, not such a fan of the smell, taste is quite nice but goes in the direction of a soured stout. not much hop character. Overall quite enjoyed it (probably not for style fetishists though..)
