750 ml bottle with some super thick blue wax, poured into a snifter. Clear golden orange with almost a finger of off-white head. Aromas of white wine, light oak, some booze. Tastes of caramel, wheat, white wine, light oak, some raisins, a little butterscotch. Alcohol is fairly well masked. Medium body with a dry finish. Interesting, this might be the first white wine barrel aged wheat wine I’ve had.

12 oz bottle poured. Pale golden yellow in color with a ring lasting head. Big, corny aroma. Flavor is bready malt, straw grains, some corn flake cereal, and a decently refreshing cool finish. If the point is drinking this in 8 seconds or less, I could have done it. I guess that means something. For the pocket change price, I can’t complain too much here. Decent kolsch, but for me, the corn took away from the refreshment.

12 oz. bottle, about 2 months since bottling. Pours a beautiful, dark, ruby color, with a medium, off-white, bubbly head. The nose is raisins, caramelized sugar, anise, plums, bittersweet chocolate, and some light hickory smoke and pine sap. Sweet and sugary flavor, with a light bitterness that leads to a dry finish. Medium to heavy body, somehow effervescent but not fizzy, velvety, and a little acidic and harsh. This is a lovely, aromatic, complex, and aggressive beer. Very sharp and rough in its youth; I could see some age smoothing off the edges.
