Description

Dark brown colour, creamy beige foam. Medium carbonation. Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, cake, brown sugar. Very sweet with bitter hoppy aftertaste. Good, unfortunately too sweet.

Thanks! Sampled draft @ BBF 2014. A showcase for the very new still Equinox hop. Light hazy orange. Nose is a mix orange, sweetish fruits, peach with light floral touches, wild herbs & plant. Taste is touch soapy upfront, lightly metallic, sweetish peach, orange leading into interesting floral, wild medicinal herbs finish, bitterness is light but rather unique. Light bodied. Interesting & rather enjoyable.

Sampled at Kerstbierfestival Essen 2014. Very dark brown color with a slight dark red glare coming through when held into the light, medium sized beige to light brown head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, roasted malts, some hops. Taste malts, caramel, roast, dark fruits, a hint of hops, quite bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Not bad at all.

750 ml. bottle sampled @ O.B.E.R. Kestbierfestival 2014. (Thx!) Clear golden, little white head. Nose is lemon soda, fizzy & artificial; Taste is fizzy & artificial, nasty lemon, herbs,… Very fizzy. Not a fan, this doesn’t work I feel & what is up with the artificial flavours & fizzy character.
