Pours hazy amber with a fluffy white head. Aroma of pine and exotic hop types. Taste does not match the aroma: less resinous, rich malt base, dry hop notes, light herbal elements. Palate has receding notes of the previous on the tongue, residual lemon and grainy notes, hops. certainly interesting.

Well stored bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a big, dense beige head. Perfect looking in the glass. Strong aroma of dark malt, warming alcohol and Bourbon stuff like vanilla and a bit perfumed. Taste is really sweet with dark, smooth roasted malt, honey, Bourbon, hint of wood and vanilla. Fine, solid body and long-lasting aftertaste with distinct alcohol. Still quite rough edged after some year in the basement, but very nice indeed.

From notes, I think from over 10 years ago. Pours a deep golden to amber colour and a white head that quickly disappears. Aroma is sweetish, alcohol, with additional fruit retronasal. Flavour is moderate sweet, malty, a bit yeasty. Fairly strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Long finish. Decent triple, certainly by American standards.

12 oz. can, pours a murky deep dark mahogany with a small off-white head. Aroma is very malty, with heaps of bourbon upfront, followed by caramel, and bready malt. Flavour is likewise a big bourbon bomb, with lots of caramel, bready malt, and a bit of spices. Really nice bourbon and caramel character. Excellent.

12 oz. can purchased at Rally in St Pete, FL. Pours a clear dark mahogany color with a thick khaki head and great retention. Good lacing. Very faint nutty aroma. Clean, nutty brown ale flavor. Lightly crisp yet also creamy mouthfeel. Surprisingly good flavor and body for only 3.8% ABV. A lite brown ale. Simple profile and it works.

4 oz. pour on tap at Boneyard Bistro (2017 vintage). Appearance is opaque black with no sparkle, thin cap of beige head with decent retention and nice leggy lacing. Aroma is dominant bourbon and oak with some dark fruit and roasted malt. Taste is nice bourbon, roasted malt, dark fruit, chocolate (the non-bourbon flavors emerge as it warms). Mouthfeel is medium side of light-to-medium bodied with smooth, thick texture, average-to-lively carbonation, pleasant alcohol warmth and finish as taste. Overall, the bourbon is really nice but slightly dominates the other flavors instead of being perfectly complementary but the malts and dark fruit are still appreciated. Slightly overcarbonated.
