Description
Gosnells was founded by Tom Gosnell in 2014 after he was inspired to turn his hand to experimenting with mead during a trip to the USA. As an avid home brewer of cider and perry, Tom had brewing experience that he quickly applied to developing our signature style of light, crisp, sparkling mead. From those early days our team and brewery has grown, but our aim remains the same: to re-popularise mead and bring it back to the people.

330ml can from Lidl Supermarkets - bright red body, no head. Herbal fake raspberries in the nose and taste, a bit tart and dry. Not my kind of thing.

330ml can from Lidl - slightly foggy pale yellow body with a short lived white top. Fresh pear fragrance with some sweet smokiness, faint honeyed taste with sweet apples and pears. Sweet sugar finish. Nice refreshing kit this.

[33cl can from Beer52.] An attractive deep copper coloured pour with a tight cream head; honey aroma; smooth honey taste to start with some bready malts, then some bitter chocolate and a crisp toasted grain finish.

On tap at Gosnell's - Bermondsey, pours a clear reddish mead, no head. Aroma brings out blackberry notes, perfume, and dried honey. Flavour is very boozy, with sweet blackberry, fermented out honey, and a floral notes. A bit harsh but it works in small quantities.

On tap at Gosnell's - Bermondsey, pours a clear, no head. Aroma is harsh, with lots of harsh perfumey notes. Flavour is harsh and hard to drink, with booze, floral perfumey notes and booze. Kveik yeast never works well it seems and ruins otherwise decent products -- this yeast should be unanimously retired from use in beer/mead. Super lame.

On tap at Gosnell's - Bermondsey, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle floral morals and subtle, crisp apple skins. Flavour is dry, with intense underripe green apple skins and floral hops. Not well-balanced at all. Meh.

Panda at home thanks to Ed Danlo. A clear petrol coloured pour with no head. Aroma is semi sweet, candy sugars, clear honey, sweet caramel notes, meadow, some alcohol. Flavour is composed of medium sweet, white sugars, mellow honey, gloral notes, caramel sweetness, warming alcohol, light spicy. Palate is medium sweet, oily, mellow fizz. Light alcohol bite in the finish. Fun, little harsh.
