Cask handpull at The County Hotel JDW Ashford. Black beer lasting beige head. Some chocolate on the aroma. Some blackcurrant blackberry flavour. Some dryness in the mouth. Some fullness too. Fairly drinkable stout. Yep fine.

Cask at Standing Order, Derby. Pours very dark reddish-brown with a small tan head and good lacing. The aroma has coffee and roast malts. In the mouth it starts off slightly sweet and a tad watery but creaminess and roast malts soon come through. Flavour has chocolate and some hints of cola, oats and coffee. Some bitterness in the finish. This is quite nice.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Clear chestnut-orange colour with a thick cream-coloured head - it's a lovely looking brew. Tastes mainly of toffee, with some fruit cake and dusty walnuts. Mildly dry finish. It's a little twiggy and slimy, but quite enjoyable as a post work pub brew.
