A dark amber beer with no head. The aroma is sweet malty with hints of caramel. The flavor is sweet hoppy with strong notes of metal - but still a nice flavor.

Bottled. Nut brown. Malt aroma. Sweet and rich, soft and sugary. Warming and caramelly with salty finish. Too sweet for me, my least favourite from an othewise excellent brewery.

Clear copper pour with foamy head that leaves a decently thick lacing - roasted malt aroma with some toasted nuts - flavor contains much of the same toasty aspects - a bit thin - the malt profile isn't a heavy as I have come to expect from scottish ales, but the flavor is interesting enough to compensate - bitterness in the finish seems to come an equal amount from the hops and the smoked malt - mild sweetness throughout - relatively well-balanced, but a little too thin bodied.

Reddish golden. Distinct buttery oily and flowery aroma. Fruity, malty and sweet, Very flavourful with loads of toffee and a salty bitter finish. A real treat!
