Description
Opened on 14th May 1997, The Inveralmond Brewery is at the very heart of our beer. Situated in Perth, the brewery nestles between the fabulous rolling hills of Perthshire, the mighty Grampian mountain range and is surrounded by crystal clear rivers, providing inspiration and nourishment for the beers we produce and export around the globe.

The brewery moved during March 2010 to their current location where a 30BBL plant is used. During April 2016 they were taken over by Innis & Gunn.

Caramel aroma, reddish brown body, burnt coffee beans flavor, thin off-white head, strong finish. Leaves slight alcoholic aroma on the palate. I loved it in general

Bottle: Poured a dirty light amber color ale with a rather large foamy head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dry English hops with lingering peats malt notes (or maybe I was dreaming but seems there was definite smoke notes). Body is quite full with good carbonation and light alcohol level makes this even more enjoyable. Easily drinkable though quite complex – finish was maybe a tad too dry.

Cask at Cafe Royal Circle Bar, Edinburgh. Clear amber coloured, small off-white head, almost no carbonation. Sweet malty, surprisingly hoppy and mild caramel taste with nutty and fruity notes. Touch of smoke in rather dry finish. One of the better beer I’ve tried in Edinburgh.
