Ok.

A Belgian blonde dedicated to the noble art of jazz music, but apparently Django Reinhardt - arguably Belgium's greatest representative of the genre to date - has sadly been omitted from the label meanwhile, with the beer now simply called Jazz Beer Blond. Very thick and frothy, egg-white, foamy, thickly plaster-lacing, stable head on a near-clear golden blonde beer with 'metallic' old gold hue, lively sparkling and a suspension of translucent yeast bits throughout. Aroma of ripe banana, even some bubblegum, powder sugar, candy apple, sugar loaf, hint dried ginger powder, dried yarrow, honey, hint of freshly made vegetable soup, cooked carrots. Sweetish onset, lots of banana ester, some ripe pineapple, ripe pear and peach aspects, stinging and minerally carbonation but acceptable for the style (though still a little bit numbing), soft sweet-bready and cereally malt body with ongoing minerals and fruity notes, topped by honeyish residual sugar and sprinkled with a spicy note - reminiscent of the old coriander seed, but also a bit of ginger; ends mildly spicy in a slightly ethereal way, with bready yeastiness, lingering residual sweetness and lingering sweet banana ester following closely. Your run-of-the-mill standard Belgian blonde as expected, sweet and coriandered, made as accessible as possible to a large audience, but without any technical flaws; a crowd pleaser, perhaps much more so than jazz music is today. Too bad - jazz could and should have been much more inspiring than this...

Dark brown with quick fading head. Aroma and flavour have dark sweet malts. Hints of sweet coffee and caramel too. A big too gassy.

Pours dark, chocolate / mahonie brown , with a small, yet stable, lighly tanned yellowwhite head. Smell is sharp, mild chocolate, mild dark fruits. Touch of caramel, perhaps. Mild in general. Taste is sharp, bitter, low-quality dark chocolate. Tad caramelly, relatively bitter and dry ( for the style ) . mild dark fruits in the undertone. Finish is very remotely sweet, sticky chocolatyness, but also rather fresh by the (now mild) bitterness. It doesn't end clean, but not as full as a style-centered quad either. pretty decent .
