Dark brown, clear with a shorter lived off white head. A sweet malt and caramel aroma with some bread sense. Light bitter with a caramel and malt end.

30/IV/21 - 33cl bottle @ home, BBE: 2022 (2021-332) Thanks to my neighbour Fred for sharing the bottle!

Slightly cloudy blond yellow beer, small creamy white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: gives a bit of a sourish impression, oxidized, some orange peel, little funky. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: rather sweet and sugary, bit oxidized, malty, soft bitterness, some diacetyl. Aftertaste: malty, some vanilla, sugary sweetness, some ripe banana, meh. Not a big fan.

Clean sharp, hop forward imp stout. Roast malt focused due to the dryness of the beer. The lack of residual sugars also makes it deceptively light and drinkable. Good beer, but for an easy style it’s mediocre. Online saveurbier

Pours clear, darker blonde ( I truly expected a black beer, given the name) . Small white, medium stable white head. Scent is honey ( mild oxitation) , cloves-like spices. Taste is reasonable. Given it's a bit aged ( 2016 bottle ) , it picked up some honey-like oxidation, but no cardboard. fairly refreshing, still, even. Mild bitterness, likely a pretty bitter beer when fresh . Enjoyable, to my surprise, yet very different than the 'black winterbeer' i was expecting. Maltyness has the upperhand now. If I would have known, I would have drank it sooner, I supose hop played a bigger part in this than I anticipated.

330ml swing-top bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Shared with Finn. Gives a good shot when opened. Pours a dark brown body under a covering beige head, spotty lacing. Inviting smell of roasted brown malts. Fine blended taste of caramel fruits, biscuit, and a coffee note towards a roasted ending. Not overly sweet. Pleasing (Session at Bergstua, Malangen 29.10.2020).
