(Bottle, 0.75 l, on 2008-12-24) Deep amber. Almost clear. Medium sized white head. Malts and hint of dried plum in nose. Full bodied palate with quite a lot of carbonation. Malts, dried plum, bitterness, syrup, sweetness. Malts and light bitterness in aftertaste.

bottle. Yes, December is the time of Christmas beers and not of bières de Mars. Anyway, the bottle reveals a hazy golden yelow coloured beer with a small white head. Fruity nose. Fruity with some fruity sourness. Malty base underneath and some very nice spicy hops.

Bottled BBE 03/2010, 75cl flip-top. Clear amber color, no head. Spicey, candy-watermelon-menthol aroma, also slightly cellary. Fizzy carbonation. Crystal sugary malty flavor with light spices and fruity notes. Touch of clove. Typical biere de garde hard mouthfeel and quick finish. These usually taste more like a lager than an ale and this is no exception.

Bottled (from Alko). Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is bready malts, some slight sour fruits as well as some cinnamon. Cinnamon increases as the beer gets warmer. Flavour is earth, sour wood, smooth fruityness and some yeast. Gets more fullpalated and tastier as it gets warmer.

Golden beer with medium white head. Aroma is pleasant: complicated, slightly sour, citrus and some grass and pine needles are found. Flavour is quite similar than aroma, anyway flavour is quite dry and some spicyness and slightly musty in the end. Quite easy to drink but still even slightly oily meaning that nice beer to drink. Page 24 Blonde Réserve Hildegarde is refreshing beer with complicated aroma and flavour; interesting summer-beer.

330ml Bottle - Hazy golden in colour with a foamy white head. Slightly spicy aroma with some lemon. Lightly hoppy and spicy taste with grapefruit and lemon. Rather refreshing but could do with being a tad more exciting.

Page 24 Blanche is light yellow beer with full white head. Wheat, lemon and spices is found in the aroma and impression is very fresh. Flavour is witbier-like with lemon bitterness. Easy to drink but not watery with lot of carbonation. Spicies makes aromas more interesting but flavour is little too "balanced" and there are too much lemon. Anyway, very refreshing beer; summer-beer.

Very small, but reasonably persistent white head over chromate yellow beer. Very distinct honey nose with an aroma of lemon peel, as well as some mannah-like smell. Sharpish honey & citrus/lemon flavours, with toaste and honey; quite lactic and I would hazard some wheat as well. Sharp, at the edge of astringent; rather slick and quite carbonated. Original and a bit disconcerting beer. Reminds me of honingbollen , but in an aggressive way. Not my kind of beer, but it IS distinctive. Not sweet, so I suspect high level of attenuation.

Stupendous very fine & dense, collapsing snowwhite ehad over greenish-yellow beer. Very strong nose of CO², toasted malts & spices upon opening; wheat, citrus & slightly lactic. Very spicy, dry with a little point of vanilla, quite some citruspeel and mustard- or horseradish powder, dried ginger, even a bit of cinnamon and saltiness. Coté citrus, it reminds me of lime, further starfruit and laurel. Spritzy, quite saturated MF, light but not empty, slick texture. OK wheat.

75cl bottle from Carrefour, Calais. Russet, slight haze, thick lasting beige, some red fruit and malt aroma, some yeast. Man, that’s a tasty biere de garde. Nice tart fruit sourness and hopo on finish. Bit of earthyness, bit of milk choc. Compared to the other crap I bought on Monday in France, this is half decent. Triple fermentation, double garde apparently. Tasty.
