750 ml bottle. Slightly hazy, orange golden body with a big, nice foamy white head. Aroma is citric fruity, spicy, grassy and floral. Flavor is light malty, fruity, spicy, floral and nice balanced between sweetness and bitterness. Feels really light and quaffable, my bottle was suddenly just empty, still a nice and balanced flavor. Pretty high carbonation.

750 ml swingtop bottle, now available in Norway at Vinmonopolet. ABV is 6.9%. Pale golden colour, just a slight haziness, big white head. Nice aroma of "Belgian" (French, actually) yeast, with spicy / peppery notes. Some fruit and grass too. The flavour is first crisp and moderately spicy / peppery, leading to a fruity moderate sweetness, ending in a moderately hoppy and spicy finish and aftertaste. A truly enjoyable bière de garde - will buy again.

Bottle, 75cl. It pours a hazy, pale golden-orange body under a decent white head leaving lacings. Quite lovely spice touch in the aroma, citrusy with a pleasant grainy imprint. Yeast notes and a suiting barnyard hint. Really refreshing and quenching with a nice blend of pale malts and citrusy hops. Quite sweet, but that just suits the beer, and the finish is as dry as it should be. Some yeast and a fine bitterness also find it’s way down the throat. Medium to full body, slightly warming and pleasantly carbonated. This was a nice surprise after too many mediocre French beers. 090919

Pours beautifully into a chalice, nice fluffy head, very solid, nice colour and good bubbling. Can’t say the same for the aroma though, it’s malts and a bit of alcohol, nothing too unique or strong. Has a hint of barley, some malts and slight syrupiness, some breadiness on the back end. Pretty good.

[9/5/09] Bottle sample during LCRBM at Kulminator in Antwerp. Hazy yellow-golden with a white head. Aroma of fruits, hops, a bit of pale malt and some alcohol. Sweet flavor with some malt, a bit of sugar and fruits, and a dry herbal finish. Medium-bodied.

Bottle (courtesy of harrisoni):Golden, hazy,small white head; solid hoppy nose with sweet malt and fruits; medium to full bodied, moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour; sweetness and lemony tartness in the warming finish. Solid, not too complex brew.......

Gushing to small white head over well(over?)-carbonated, golden beer. Bread, spicy grains and garden herbs. Bread in the taste again, somewhere between white and brown bread, and alcoholsweetness. Medium bodied, very slick. Quite alcohol(sweet)-toned beer, not really great, the alcoholdomination tends to make it boring, uncomplex.

Bottle. Shown as a Page 24 Biere de Printemps. Amber beer with a nice cream colored head. Grass and malt aroma with a bit of earthiness. malt and light grass flavor with a bit of sweetness. Medium bodied. Malt, light earth, light honey, and light caramel lingers. Easy drinking beer.

Bottle, 6.9%. Fruity and yeasty aroma. Hazy dark orange/amber colour. Small white head. The flavour is also fruity and yeasty, a bit too yeasty for me. OK malty, slightly sweet, but unclean and yeasty finish.
