Description
Tigertops Brewery started in June 1995 by Stuart and Lynda Johnson (now of the Foxfield Brewery in Cumbria). Nowadays, brewing is under the control of Barry Smith known to many as "Axeman".

Barry enjoys experimenting with continental recipes and continental yeasts.It is based behind a private house at Oakes Street in Flanshaw near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, , and whilst perhaps not being as well known as some other micro breweries in the area, has produced a number of award winning beers appreciated by those who have tried them.

Cask at 2015 Birmingham Beer Festival; hazy golden amber pour with a thin white head, aroma has spice, taste has clove, banana and light citrus.

Wakefield Beer Festival. Almost black. Has a good roasted malt aroma, although this is lost somewhat through a dominant sweetness in its taste.

Sehr dunkel braune Farbe, fast kein Schaum. Geruch sehr schokoladig, röstmalzig, Vanille. Geschmack süß röstmalzig, viel Karamell und Vanille.

Klare goldene Farbe, geringe weiße Schaumkrone. Geruch grasig hopfig, zitronig, bitter. Geschmack sehr hopfig, grasig bitter, trocken, helles Malz.

Leicht trübes dunkel goldgelbes Bier mit einer mittelgroßen weißen Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr hopfig, grasig, nass hopfig, helle Früchte. Geschmack sehr hopfig bitter, grasig, Citrusfrüchte, bitterer nachhall.

Cask at Craven Arms. Hazy straw color, fluffy white head. Aroma of earthy citrus. Taste is bitter lemon, very dry finish. Nice.

Cask at PINT Meibockfestival. Clear golden orange colour, white head. Aroma of mango, tropical fruits, English ale yeast, light sulphur. Flavour is medium sweet, tropical fruits, earthy, mango, light yeasty, earthy bitter finish. Light bodied. Nice.

From cask at PINT Meibockfestival ’15, ABV 5.4%. Clear orange amber colour, white head. Aroma of lots of fresh citrusy hops, grapefruit, tea leaves, light malty. Flavour is light to medium sweet, malty, citrus, grapefruit, some tropical fruit, tea leaves, light earthy, firm bitter finish. Light bodied, flat. Good IPA, wouldn’t call this a Bitter.
