Description
Tigertops Brewery started in June 1995 by Stuart and Lynda Johnson (now of the Foxfield Brewery in Cumbria). Nowadays, brewing is under the control of Barry Smith known to many as "Axeman".

Barry enjoys experimenting with continental recipes and continental yeasts.It is based behind a private house at Oakes Street in Flanshaw near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, , and whilst perhaps not being as well known as some other micro breweries in the area, has produced a number of award winning beers appreciated by those who have tried them.

Bradford Beer Festival 2018. Golden in colour, with a very stated lager malt, but with an ale texture.

Bradford Beer Festival 2018. Dirtier golden and mainly hoppy ale. It has a mild sweetness and a mild fruitiness.

Sampled @ Brassigaume 2017. A black beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of mild roasted malt, coffee and liqourice. Taste of liqourice, dark malt, chocolate, lactose, low carbonation.

Sampled @ Brassigaume 2017. A clear dark golden beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of red malt, pine, some citrus. Taste of red fruits, bitter red malt, pine, citrus.

Sampled @ Brassigaume 2017. A clear orange brown beer with a small off-white head. Aroma of red malt, caramel, mild bitter resinous hops. Taste of resinous hops, caramel, not too bitter.

Cask from the wood, halfpint, at the SPBW 1st National Woodfest, Castleford. Deep golden to orange colour, white head. Nice aroma of citrussy hops. The flavour is fairly sweet, with distinct citrussy and piney hops. Bitter and woody finish.

Cask from the wood, halfpint, at the SPBW 1st National Woodfest, Castleford. Black colour, tan head. "Dusty" and dull aroma. Fairly light bodied. Mild roasty notes in the flavour, while a certain fruity acidity helps the drinkability.

Cask @ New Oxford, Salford. Golden with a thin bubbly head, it has a light sticky-sweet texture with a mild fruity taste.
