Description
Tigertops Brewery started in June 1995 by Stuart and Lynda Johnson (now of the Foxfield Brewery in Cumbria). Nowadays, brewing is under the control of Barry Smith known to many as "Axeman".

Barry enjoys experimenting with continental recipes and continental yeasts.It is based behind a private house at Oakes Street in Flanshaw near Wakefield, West Yorkshire, , and whilst perhaps not being as well known as some other micro breweries in the area, has produced a number of award winning beers appreciated by those who have tried them.

Gravity dispense at Craft 100, CBC Clapham, 18/09/14. Lightly hazed golden amber with a decent off white covering that retains. Nose is orange pith, citrici peel, straw, light pine, earthy hop tones. Taste comprises bitter orange, light chalky minerals, mango, melon, touch of grapefruit juice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough APA.

Cask at craft 100 Craft Beer Co. Bright orange coloured pour with a loose white head aroma is dirty lemon, slight sour. . flavour is sharp lemon, spicy citrus peel. Palate is medium sweet, lowish carbonation.

Cask at meibockfestival. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Aroma of fruity hops, tropical fruits and citrus. Flavour is light to moderate sweet and bitter. Light to medium bodied with very soft carbonation.

Cask handpull at PRNH Meibockfestival. Clear golden colour, creamy white head. Aroma of loads of citrus, grapefruit, and tropical fruits. Really nice. Flavour is crisp, mild sweet, some honey, covered by tropical fruit madness, passion fruit, citrus, nice bitter finish. Medium-bodied, soft carbonation. Very good.

Cask hand pull at PRNH Meibockfestival ’14. Clear golden colour, white head. Aroma of lovely sweet citrusy hops, tropical fruits, almost sweaty. Flavour is fruity, typical Golden Ale IMHO, light grainy, light malty, citrusy bitter finish. Light-bodied, soft carbonation. Nice.
