Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours golden yellow with a small foamy almost white head and good lacing. There’s floral hops and oranges in the aroma. In the mouth it is somewhat bitter from the start, but this increases to dominate. A little underlying sweetness at the start as well, with flavour of floral hops, marmalade and tangerine, plus a hint of grapefruit later on. Finish is decidedly bitter. This is a decent IPA.

Beer number #11 tried at the Skipton Beer Festival 2025. Certainly a little more hop in this than your average Barley Wine, but sticky-sweet all the same, and a full-bodied notable strength.

Deep clear golden as beer number 29 for me at the Bradford Beer Festival 2025. Full-bodied, perhaps a little more so feeling than its strength. Hoppy, mild hints of fruit.
