Bottle. Bier Huis Ossett. Opened with a big hiss. Pours lively but settles to a misted very dark brown. Very decent firm lasting light tan foam. Looks boss. Nose has tangy vine fruit on top of rich tarry malts. Lots of liquorice notes. Some bitter dark chocolate. Taste is semi sweet with big roast bitterness. Lots of fruity twang. Full body with fairly high massaging carbonation. Lingering tangy bitterness to finish. A bit fizzy overall but it’s a Wakefield banger nonetheless.

Cask. Gravity pour. Steel City Beer Festival. Absolutely stinks. Yeah it’s fresh hop but it’s on top of buttery malts. Never ready to be served by about 48 hours.
