At Mrk’s, bottle courtesy of Maakun. Light hazy golden cat piss! Nice grape sour with smooth musk and cinnamon nutmeg qualities, doughiness. Mild to strong sour, light salty. Smooth body, minerallike texture. Bit wateriness but a good blend.

Bottle shared. Hazy orange with short lasting white head that leaves lots of lacing. Lots of funk, sour grains and white grapes, rubber, bandaid, sour milk, light glue, lemon, soft herbs and sour dough. Medium sour. Under medium bodied with soft carbonation. Surprisingly good gueuze. Quite lactic and lots of grapes, good stuff.

Bottle shared on Level 42 9/3/16. Bottle picked up in Leiden. Translucent golden orange pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is perfume lemon, wheat, ginger, po pierre. Wheat, some alcohol. Flavour is composed of pithy lemon, perfume, citrus, little hop resin, Assertive citrus lemon hop bitterness. Palate is frothy, spritzy carbonation, alcohol. Harsh lingering bitterness and hot alcohol. Decent.

(Draught at Arendsnest, Amsterdam, 21 Feb 2016) Pale amber colour with frothy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with grain, grapefruit, citrus and apricots. Malty, hoppy taste with notes of grapefruit, tropical fruit, grain, dried apricots and a dry finish with a generous citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty, fresh and well made. Nice one.

Bottle shared on the 42nd floor - big thanks to Fergus. Pours hazy gold with a creamy, white head. Nice floral hops in the nose, some rindy citrus, tangerine, pale bread. Medium sweet flavor with nips of alcohol, more pale bread, light rind, lemon, grapefruit, light pine. Full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming finish with further floral hops, white bread crust, mandarin orange, tangerine, light grass. Boosty, but pretty good.

Bottle thanks to Fergus at level 42. It pours very lightly hazy gold with a thick foamy, white head. The aroma is fresh, juicy, soapy, lemon rind, orange peel, orangeade and brioche. The taste is crisp, orange peel, orange sherbet, soapy, alcohol boost, straw, waxy, grassy with a citrusy, boosty finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. So much alcohol boost. Wow....

Bottle split at the level 42 tasting, thanks to Fergus, 09/03/16. Very lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white covering. Nose is bitter orange, straw, bitter hop, lemon wine gums, pissy. Taste comprises orange pith, mineral notes, earthy hop, pine, tangy tropicana, mineral notes. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, semi aggressive hop bitterness in a drying close. Ok DIPA.

Bottle @ train. Slightly unclear orange color, medium to full sized white head. Smell and taste malts, up front some fruitpeel, a lot of orangepeel, fruitpeel sour-bitter. Meh, don’t like it. And it’s also not a double IPA by a long shot. Tastes more like a saison. Seriously bad as a DIPA, drinkable as a beer.

33cl bottle. Pours a hazy, dirty, pale orange with a very tall white head with good retention. Smells like grapefruit, lemon zest, wine barrel, honey and salt. Super bitter punch right from the start, with notes of citrus hops and a bit of saison funkiness. Medium body and carbonation, bitter and salty aftertaste.
