Nuchtere Noorden Tasting II - helder goudgeel met witte bubbels, aroma wat zoet, mooie zachte houttonen, en frisse zuren. smaken van laag koolzuur, eigenlijk geen, hout, mooie zachte zuur complexiteit, mooie diepgang, veel hout, lambic, fruit, volle rijke body, jammer van de koolzuur... maar best ok

(Bottle) Black colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark chocolate, sweet espresso, soy sauce, roasted oats, oak wood, vanilla and bourbon. Malty, roasted taste with sweet strong coffee, dark chocolate, liquorice, soy sauce, oak wood, vanilla, burnt sugar, dried fruit, bourbon and a warming finish with a generous roasted bitterness. Almost full body, fairly sweet. Soft and velvety mouthfeel. Not really subtle, but well balanced and very tasty. Excellent!

Bottle, 330 ml, shared with JFK10000. Pours black with large lasting tan head. Great coffee aroma. Roasted malts, chocolate, coffee. Sweet. Light to medium bodied, not too much of an aftertaste. Expected more after great aroma.

Borefts Beer Festival 7th edition day 1 25/09/2016. Many thanks to whomever brought it. A hazed golden orange coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Aroma is big lambic funk, lacto, funky apricot. Flavour si composed of tangy sharp apple, apricot, funky, lacto. Nice complexity. Palate is tart, highish carbonation.

[9/22/16] Bottle at Arendsnest in Amsterdam. Black. Nice aroma of chocolate, roast, a bit of oxidation, some dark fruits. Sweet flavor with roast, chocolate, caramel, mild oxidation. Medium to full-bodied, rounded. Very nice.

Bottle at home in London. Pours rich amber with a frothy, lasting beige head. Lots of hearty ripe fruit in the nose, plenty of toffee, fruit cake, figs. Medium to heavy sweet flavour with sturdy bread, creamy toffee, tons of Dane fruit cake, light piney bitterness. Full bodied, oily and chewy, with fine carbonation. Lightly warming to finish, chewy and gooey, with raisins, more fruit cake, some dried cherry, dates and figs. Really rich and tasty.

Piwo Mocno alkoholowe, rozgrzewający finisz, przypominal raczej Imperialne IPA. Piana biala, srednia, ale trwala i dobrej jakości. Bardzo ciemne, brazowe i błotniste. Karmel, przypalony chleb w smaku i trochę pieczonych kasztanow. Zywiczny zapach i trochę cytrusow. Goryczka zalega i zalepia wraz z alkoholem gardlo. Dobre rzemiosło zrobione w browarze mlynskim, szkoda ze już nie będzie kontynuowane.
