330ml bottle from Bottle Bank, Falmouth. Pours clear gold with creamy head. Aroma is vibrant sweet yeast. Taste bears a good strong sweetness with pillowy vanilla / banana notes. Not getting the low scores below. I thought this was quite nice.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear pale amber, mid sized head. Mango and gooseberry dominates a focused aroma. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Lightly caramelly with plenty of passionfruit. Distinct bitter finish.

Bottle shared at Chris and Ruth’s pre-GBBF tasting 2015 - London. Pours clear gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds perfume, rindy citrus, pine needles. Medium sweet flavor, bready, with light caramel, a bit of oily pine, orange peel, grass. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, with more oily pine, caramel, orange. OK, but perhaps a touch faded.

Tuatara Sauvinova Single Hop Pale Ale made with Nelson Sauvin 5.2% Pouring a lovely copper with a hoppy fruity aroma that has some prickly earthy notes of briarwood. Good but less intriguing than the APA. The taste is sweetly malty with that bitter prickly earthy hop character and light sweetness. Less fruity than the APA and more bitter with a dry finish. Damn good stuff. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from World Beer Market. Tuatara Aotearoa Pale Ale 5.8% served in my new teku glass this New Zealand APA pours a deep amber-orange with a soapy white head that looks brown in certain lights. The aroma is great - hugely fragrant tropical fruits: mangoes, passionfruit and maybe even some strawberry jam notes. A soft prickly carbonation on a smooth medium body gives this beer substance. The taste is a wonderful bitterness blending woodsy bitter notes with fistfuls of luscious fruits. Great stuff with good balance.

Bottle. Almost black with a large tan head. Aroma of mocha, some burnt caramel, grapefruit, orange blossoms, some tropical fruit and herbs - nice, but all over the shop. And while it works OK in the aroma the tropical fruit - guava, lychee, pineapple - and citrus just don’t go very well with the roasted flavours. Cacophonous.

Bottle. Deep red with a beige head. Aroma is really pretty shy with some bread and blackcurrants. Fairly light bodied. Taste is much bolder with bread spices berries and a finish that’s more dry than bitter.
